We were pioneers in the implementation of intermodal transport; in the last five years<strong> we have managed to reduce our carbon footprint by 20%<\/strong>, saving an astonishing <strong>41,898,563.63 kg of CO\u2082 emissions into the atmosphere.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With this determination,<strong> we currently produce 0 emissions in all our facilities in Catalonia<\/strong> thanks to the use of green energy from renewable sources, and our photovoltaic panels installed at our headquarters generate more than 200,000 kWh per year, reducing our carbon footprint by 51,500 kg of CO2 eq.<\/p>\n<p>With this determination, we are working to minimize our impact to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, following the European Green Pact promoted by the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #a2c7e2;\">HVO, the green diesel revolution:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #a2c7e2;\">-90% emissions per trip<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the fundamental challenges at a global level in recent years and in the near future is the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable sources, especially those with low or zero carbon emissions, the so-called clean energies. Among renewable fuels, <strong>HVO or hydrotreated vegetable oil stands out.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At Calsina Carr\u00e9 we are committed to the use of this renewable fuel to make our land transport more efficient. HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is produced from sustainable raw materials such as vegetable oils. Its use in transportation offers a viable and effective alternative to <strong>reduce CO\u2082 emissions by up to 90% per trip,<\/strong> without compromising the performance or efficiency of our vehicles. In fact, engines using HVO can achieve higher efficiency and suffer less wear, resulting in optimal performance and long life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #a2c7e2;\">Together on the road to decarbonisation<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a world that increasingly demands clean and sustainable solutions, companies are looking to reduce their environmental impact and decarbonize the supply chain. \nThe use of this renewable fuel on their routes is an opportunity to do so, and more and more corporations are backing this environmentally friendly transport method every day.
